How do I cut my cake?

Do you offer delivery?

Yes, delivery is available for an additional charge and must be requested when ordering cake to verify availability. 

Dessert pricing for delivery only (no set-up/door drop off):

Begins at a flat rate of $40 (within 10 miles) + $2.50 per additional mile. 

Dessert pricing for delivery & set up:

Delivery and set up within Tucson/Marana city limits is begins at a flat rate of $50. Pricing can range from $50-$250 depending on location and extent of set-up. 
Mileage is calculated from the starting point of Thornydale & Linda Vista. 

Outside of city limits depends on location.  

Where is your cake studio located for pick up?

If you would like to pick up your order  it can be picked up in Northwest Tucson - Cross streets are Linda Vista and Bald Eagle. All cakes and treats are packaged and given storage instructions. Please note that once the cake has been collected, the client is fully responsible for the safety of the cake. Her Little Cakery is not liable from damage that occurs to the cake/dessert after the item has left our possession. 

What is a cottage baker/bakery?

I am a cottage home baker registered and licensed with Arizona Health Department under the Arizona Home Baked Goods Program. I have completed Food Safety Handling courses and all of my American Buttercream recipes have passed food safety testing at the UofA Food Safety Lab. I am not a commercial baker and do not have a store front. Her Little Cakery LLC is licensed and insured. 

How soon should I book my date?

Recommended booking should take place 6-8 months prior for weddings and large events. Please note Fall, Winter & Spring book soonest!

Party cakes are recommended to be booked 4-8 weeks in advance however you can always reach out to check availability sooner! 

Do you offer faux cakes?

At this time, I do not offer faux cakes. I have a deep appreciation for the artistry of cake making, and I believe a beautiful cake should be as enjoyable to eat as it is to admire. My passion is creating designs on real, handcrafted cakes that bring together both visual beauty and exceptional flavor for your celebration.

Do you offer stand rentals?

Yes! I do offer stand rentals for dessert bars, cake stands and have a wide variety to fit any theme.

What is your payment policy and what forms of payment are accepted?

Orders $300 or below require 50% non-refundable deposit/retainer to secure order with remaining balance due 1 week prior to event or order will be cancelled and spot will no longer be secure. Orders totaling more than $300 require $150 non-refundable deposit/retainer to secure date. Forms of payment accepted are all major credit/debit cards and cash. I use Square, which sends invoice reminders for payment.

A deposit/retainer is an initial payment that secures your order date. It is non-refundable and is applied toward your total balance. Because custom cakes require advance planning, ordering of supplies, and reserving space on my schedule, dates are not reserved until the retainer has been received. 

Deposits/retainers are non-refundable because once a date is reserved, I may decline other orders for that same date and begin investing time into your order. The retainer compensates for the loss of booking availability and the work completed prior to the event. For this reason, retainers cannot be refunded in the event of a cancellation, date change, or reduction in order size.

What is your cancellation/refund policy?

For cancellations with more than 4 weeks notice before completion, the deposit is non-refundable and any specifically ordered items, materials, ingredients and work already undertaken on your order is chargeable- remaining amount will be refunded. For cancellations with less than 2 week’s notice before the completion date, the full balance is payable. No refunds will be permitted for no-show pick ups or if given the wrong date/time/location for delivery. 

Do you accept rush orders?

I will accept rush orders if I have availability to complete the order. Orders with less then 4 days notice will be subject to a rush fee.
